CTMM PA System fund-raiser

A great success due to your generous support!

Thanks to the generosity of CTMM donors, we have crossed the three thousand dollar mark, exceeding all our expectations for the PA System fund-raiser. Certainly reminds me of the old Marathi saying आन्धळा मागतो एक डोळा आणि देव देतो दोन्ही :-)

The following folks deserve special mention:

0. Paresh & Deepa Limaye,  Rahul Vaidya: For working with Salil and Swati to come up with the matching fund challenge.

0. Salil and Swati Donde: For their thousand dollar matching donation.

0. Sunil and Aruna Karande: Their donation of Six Hundred dollars in memory of Aruna’s mother enabled us to make the wish-list item of boundary-microphones (used for plays and non-musical stage presentations) a reality.

0. Weishali & Vijay Joshi, Mangesh & Shilpa Karandikar, Rahul Vaidya: The fund-raising committee that got the ball rolling.

0. Vijay Joshi, Sanjeev Pandit, Shri Kanaskar, Sudhir Oak: Their joint efforts resulted in putting together an audio system that will last us well into the future.

Amplifier:      Peavey PV 2600 Power Amp

Speakers:      ElectroVoice Force IE 15” loudspeakers

(amp + speakers enough for even large crowd of 300-500)

Microphones: Shure SM 58S (2) for vocals

Shure SM 57 for percussion instruments

Crown PCC 160 (2) Boundary Microphones

Misc:            Cables (mostly Monster Cables), microphone stands etc.
